There's a better argument that by firing Mueller, Trump would be impeached. Instead he has properly focussed on MAGA.

Maybe he ran to just get his ideas into the discussion or as an ego thing and never wanted the job

Or maybe he wanted to MAGA since that is what he is actually doing.

I think he’ll be a lot better off just telling USA that he’s ended the witch hunt. Neatly everyone is sick of it, sick of hearing about it, and mad as hell we have to pay for an obviously politically- driven and expensive fabrication
