I mowed lawns in Phoenix when I was a kid around 12 years old. I got a contract with Prudential real estate to mow lawns for empty houses for sale. That went on for two years until my family moved to California. I learned about being an independent business man and carried that ethic the rest of my life. I RARELY see any kid nowadays cutting grass. Jose and his merry band of Brothers, cousins, uncles, nephews ,brother in-law and so on have stolen that opportunity from the youth. People would say that we live in a technological society and that kids shouldn’t be bothered with labor routines, child labor and so on. Sweating, getting dirty and calloused hands can clear the mind and hone the spirit.

Remember the squawking about how unsafe it was when Trump had a kid with a lawn care business mow the White House lawn

Parents today can’t risk having junior get hurt. Can’t let kids walk to the park or to school alone either. If you do, your neighbors will turn you in.
