One aspect of this story that has not been discussed is that fact that the Fire Lieutenant had a CCW in Chicago Illinois.
My understanding is that is like having a pet unicorn.
So this government employee of fairly high rank is able to get a CCW but the plumber next door to him hasnt a chance of getting one.
If Joe the plumber neighbor of the fire lieutenant is car jacked he better duck behind a tree and call his insurance agent.
I’ve known men who were fire fighters in Chicago. Their stories of what can happen when responding make it very understandable why a CCW would be issued. Not that it is fair that others have a most difficult time.
