Wow - I like that! Feel the same way but was never able to articulate it. Thanks!
The only one I'll give a pass to is God Himself. The Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away - it's really His stuff. But if any person messes with it, he/she is going to regret it.

Correct. "Stuff" is what gives you your quality of life—and often helps feed and clothe your family. Anyone who is stealing valuable "stuff" directly and tangibly threatens your life, and those of your family—and they shouldn't be surprised when it ends up costing them theirs...

You may defend your own safety with the use of force, but not your stuff. Bullshit. The legalities vary from State to State. The Federal Government does not possess the power dictate such doctrine.
Suppose you snatch an unattended bag of money from an armored car. You don't think the guards can shoot you? Balderdash...

What if the kid hit a Grandma or little kid on his joyride? The owner would be guilty of enabling the kid to kill someone by leaving the keys in the car. No win situation.

RE:”
I an not going to say that the justice system in Chicago is not without it's flaws, but the one verifiable fact that we have here is that the police looked into this matter and chose not to charge the shooter. “ That tells us what happened about as much as Mueller's indictments tells us if those Russians committed any crimes relating to the election.

He was resisting arrest and attempting to flee.
He has no right to do either
In doing so, he forfeited his right to live

"Ive always been taught in various CCW or tactical classes that you CANT employ deadly force against a thief who is moving away." It varies state to state. In Texas you can use deadly force to protect property as well. At least that was the case as of a few years back. I am not aware of any change on that count.

That’s not true. The owner would not be guilty of anything in that situation. You’re thinking of felony murder, but that would not apply here. The fireman was not committing the felony.
To: Simon Green
This must be the 50th article I’ve read where a Black mom or siblings denounce a Black thug’s death and say he should have been allowed to commit certain crimes

When has it ever become legal to shoot someone because theyre pulling off in your car?
When it was your horse (mode of transportation), you gathered a posse, hunted down the guy, and HUNG him on the spot.
It’s still legal to hang cattle thieves, in Texas.

I think the basic message is correct. Having your car stolen because you parked it with the keys in it and left it running is very irritating, but is not justifiable homicide.
