and the guy who jumped up on stage...Trump about to pick up the podium and crush the jerks skull
And they think they can out manoeuvre Trump....HA Ha ha.
I think they have a Defeat Trump 2020 Master Plan - power point with Karl Rove polls backing it up.
That’ll be something like this:
1. Use the dead in the water NeverTrumpers still in Congress to vote with Dems to impeach;
2. Use some charge - any charge - to indict someone way up the line in the Trump team, perhaps one of his family members, to taint Trump.
3. Ryan runs at first.
4. Stories already being written if Ryan gets 5, 10, 20% of the vote that say the following:
a. Trump is done; political career over
b. He’s lost his political base; blood is in the water
c. Other players may be involved.
5. By next primary another big name RINO jumps in - Kasich and/or Romney to really mess things up.
6. Trump quits or loses primary - both not likely.
7. Beat up Trump continues to the general.
Purpose of the primary is to rally the NeverTrumpers and RINOs around a candidate or two and get them renewed in their Trump hatred. Keep them home for the general.
Problem for Dems: They have no bench. They have no good candidate for 2020.
Therefore, Dems might be just as happy with a Ryan / Romney type as long as they pass amnesty.
Passing amnesty gives Dems a death grip on American politics for the foreseeable future. It’s a loaded suicide gun handed to Republicans.
They may even be positioning Ryan / Romney / Kasich to run as a Ross Perot-style 3rd party candidate. Split the vote.
Don’t have to win. Just cost Trump 8-12% of the vote.
Remember, Al Gore lost because of the Ralph Nadar vote carving off a small % in several key states. Gave George W. the win.
Lots of possibilities.
Lettng Trump go unscathed from no impeachment and no primary or 3rd party challenger?
That’d be handed Trump the 2020 win.
