He’s been in the Senate for about 100 years. That should have been long enough for him to get something done.
President Trump did it very quickly.
He did get a bill signed into law that made it illegal to talk about candidates for office in the weeks before elections.
SCOTUS stripped that un-American BS from the law later ... so no achievement there.
