Today is the day that many of us have been looking forward to, the much delayed release of the DOJ Office of Inspector General's report on the mangled Clinton email investigation.

Those of us who have been obsessing over this knew how it would go: the forces of denial, led by the likes of Adam Schiff, would leak the report to get the first reports out and shape the narrative in the way most favorable to them. We know and expect this.

To get a head start on working out the truth I thought it would be useful to have a discussion thread on the topic, across all the many news reports and blogger commentary that is sure to rain down like a deluge in a couple hours.

Let's get our pants on Freepers!

Clinton exonerated by IG:

“As described in Chapter Seven of our report, the prosecutors concluded that the evidence did not support prosecution under any of these statutes for various reasons, including that former Secretary Clinton and her senior aides lacked the intent to communicate classified information on unclassified systems.”

“We therefore concluded that these were legal and policy judgments involving core prosecutorial discretion that were for the Department to make.”

This is from the conclusions part of the report. May not be as bad as some might think:
“First, we found that several FBI employees who played critical roles in the investigation sent political messages—some of which related directly to the Midyear investigation—that created the appearance of bias and thereby raised questions about the objectivity and thoroughness of the Midyear investigation. Even more seriously, text messages between Strzok and Page pertaining to the Russia investigation, particularly a text message from Strzok on August 8 stating “No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it.” in response to a Page text “[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!,” are not only indicative of a biased state of mind but imply a willingness to take official action to impact a presidential candidate’s electoral prospects. This is antithetical to the core values of the FBI and the Department of Justice. While we did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that improper considerations, including political bias, directly affected the specific investigative actions we reviewed in Chapter Five, the conduct by these employees cast a cloud over the entire FBI investigation and sowed doubt about the FBI’s work on, and its handling of, the Midyear investigation. It also called into question Strzok’s failure in October 2016 to follow up on the Midyear-related investigative lead discovered on the Weiner laptop. The damage caused by these employees’ actions extends far beyond the scope of the Midyear investigation and goes to the heart of the FBI’s reputation for neutral factfinding and political independence.”

The OIG report states that FBI sent political messages that create appearances of bias and raises questions about objectivity. So it is about far more people than just Strzok and Page.

The OIG did not find “documentary or testimonial evidence that that improper considerations, including political bias, ...”, this conclusion specifically states that, “ the conduct by these employees cast a cloud over the entire FBI investigation and sowed doubt about the FBI’s work on, and its handling of, the Midyear investigation.” In other words, the FBI and DOJ employees did not give him documents or testimony admitting their bias. Of course they didn’t; those corrupt people were not going to sign their own indictment and admit their crimes. The OIG is not saying there wasn’t bias, because this same paragraph clearly states that he believes their was bias.

If you scroll down to Attachment H, you will see a diagram of a number of high-ranking FBI personnel exchanging phone calls with reporters, including over 20 each between the Director (had to be Comey) and a “special Agent” with a particular reporter.

Hard to see how Comey can avoid prosecution for these crimes. The others have real problems, too.

Page 417:

11:02:22, FBI Employee: “All the people who were initially voting for
her would not, and were not, swayed by any decision the FBI put out.
Trump’s supporters are all poor to middle class, uneducated, lazy POS
that think he will magically grant them jobs for doing nothing. They
probably didn’t watch the debates, aren’t fully educated on his policies,
and are stupidly wrapped up in his unmerited enthusiasm.”

Below is what I predicted would be the takeaways from this whitewashed report... Looks like I was pretty close.

1. Shortcomings in following investigative procedures
2. Internal reviews are ongoing to improve the system going forward.
3. FBI leadership is keenly aware of the need for some improvements.
4. A “blue ribbon panel” will be formed within the next year to consider and develop ideas for process improvement.
5. The FBI considers public confidence to be a primary concern.

The soap box and ballot box have failed. We are solidly at the jury box.

Today the IG report and Wray confirm that the Comey firing memo Rosenstein wrote, and Trump executed, was 100% correct. Comey was fired for his incompetence and insubordination in the Clinton email server “matter”. So what was the point of installing a Special Counsel to see if Trump obstructed justice when he was rightly carrying out justice?

OIG report delayed numerous times, apparently whitewashed, changed, “edited” with parts removed too by Rosenfelon and the Deep State.

The FBI is no friend to America. I grew up across the street from an agent. He was a family friend. My image and memory of him is killed. Crooks destroyed that agency. And to that agent that called us stoopid, mine is 143 but it’s been a few years. I am sure it’s dropped.

Disgusting, lying bureaucrats of the FBI do all these things wrong in first 15 pages yet all they can seem to agree on that they should call wrong in the report is one of the actually good things Comey did, notifying Congress and/or the public about the Weiner laptop.

So they are condemning that action while giving clearance to just about everything else that went down.

Time to clean house in the DOJ and FBI and fire as many people who believe in this report, how it was written and the principle that Bureaucracy matters over integrity. Woukd fire Rosenstein, probably Wray and as many of the people with the wrong kind of values as I coukd.
