His high heels are between three and four inches tall. Theyre patriotic heels with an Americana theme. They are your basic, bedazzled-flag high heels made to fit a male veterans foot.
Google Mayor Bruno Ralphy Lozano of Del Rio, Texas and a good chunk of the headlines youll find mention that Mayor Lozano wore heels in his citys last Veterans Day parade. The headlines also tell you that Lozano is the youngest mayor elected in his towns history, hes a flight attendant, gay and a veteran.
Lozano was one of 52 LGBTQ candidates who ran for office this year in Texas. I just advocated this is who I am, says Lozano. I didnt use the LGBT flag in my campaign. I dont have that kind of community. We dont have a gayborhood. A part of me is gay. A part of me is a human being who cares for the community.
Del Rio is a relatively small border town in south Texas thats been around in some form since the 17th century. Its also home to Laughlin Air Force Base and could be why Lozano chose the Air Force when he decided to serve his country.
The military has helped me a lot, says Lozano. I understand structure. I understand the chain of command. I understand job duties. As he talks about the military, each period can be heard in his voice giving the words a deliberate and important tone. He continues, Job function. Being part of a team. Insuring the group has good moral. Knowing you can get through the difficult times together, the awesome times together. The military taught me about structure and got me out of my comfort zone. The military teaches you to contribute to society.

Holy crap.
Those cowpokes have been in the sun toooo long.
I PRAY he’s a DEMOCRAT!
Del Rio is a hell hole . It is at least 45% illegal aliens and they all vote. What stuns me is that Catholic mexicans would support an abomination to God. I guess it is the policy of the new pope.
And there were concerns about a pimp winning a gop spot in NV. Take yer pick.
Non-partisan race.
The Mayor...Bruno "Ralphy" Lozano
Don't mess with Texas!
A case of Gropeback Mountain.
Gay male flight attendant? Interesting..........
In a democracy, you get the government you deserve.
No.
Hell no!
And
Freaking hell no!
I have only one question: Who’s more deranged... the mayor or those who voted for him?
What is a “special needs contract” mentioned in this article? Does this mean the USAF can enlist personnel for less than the standard four year hitch? Do these people go through basic training at Lackland and then whatever advanced training in order to do the “special needs” job? Seems like actual time on the job would be short. And then this guy can quit whenever he decides to?
Wonder if he will make a full term as mayor?
And Texans bitch about California? Pay attention to your own cancers.
“He continues, Job function. Being part of a team. Insuring the group has good moral. Knowing you can get through the difficult times together, the awesome times together.”
But not really
“...It was Lozano who had to tell him he was busted. I just cant do this, he said to himself and that was it for his military career.”
Always look at the ‘career’.
When the media says someone who doesn’t look like they belong in the military was in the military they are always not really veterans. That is, honorably discharged after a three year basic tour. This guy was in for a year and quit because the military is not accepting of gay couples.
BTW it’s morale, not moral. He AND the ‘journalist’ missed that. Well, neither knows about the military
“What stuns me is that Catholic mexicans would support an abomination to God.”

(The following is not a Catholic bash)
When I was working electrical contracts, one of the people that I would work with was a white Catholic from California, also a conservative, and a good family man. One day we had a discussion regarding immigrants legal and illegal from South of the Border, and he told me that for the most part Mexican Catholics were very conservative and that they would back conservative issues. This is coming from a man who is very intelligent and knows quite a bit about demographics, but to tell you the truth I have never seen that in South of the Border Catholics. I do not know if they are conservative, and to be truthful, I have observed that they do not display conservative thought as I assumed those of the Catholic faith would.
Del Rio is a relatively small border town in south Texas.
Not the entire ‘RED’ leaning state. There are ‘shitholes’ within Texas and we are fighting tooth and nail.
