What is she supposed to have done? I went to Townhall earlier to try to read this but their site is so obnoxious I had to give up.
The FBI has been drawn into this. The complaint is that several suppliers (in the hurricane affair) may have had some insider position. The procurement director (former, apparently) has said that they were ‘punished’ in some way because they tried to deal with the illegal behavior and had reported this to the local comptroller.
The accusation is that the mayor ‘punished’ this director.
I don’t think much will come out of this because people rarely keep enough notes or evidence to make a case stand up like this. Add to it...it’s the FBI performing the investigation.
