Tuesdays primaries in Virginia, North Dakota, Nevada, South Carolina, and Maine indicated that in many congressional races, vehemently attacking President Trump will not be a winning strategy for either Democrats or Republicans in the Nov. 6 general election.
As weve seen in earlier primaries this year, it was clear Tuesday that while strongly resisting President Trump is certainly damaging to Democrats, doing so is nothing short of catastrophic for Republicans. GOP voters in several races showed once again that they are rejecting lawmakers who decisively break with the president.
Instead of building their campaigns on being anti-Trump, candidates in both parties would be wise to develop compelling moderate policy alternatives and a unifying message that can appeal to centrist and independent voters.
The most prominent Trump critic to go down to defeat in the Tuesday primaries was Republican Rep. Mark Sanford in South Carolinas 1st District. Sanford lost his GOP primary for another term in the House to state Rep. Katie Arrington, a strong supporter and defender of the president.

So much WINNING!!!!!!
AL-2 is another good example. Trump critic Martha Toby has a runoff with her predecessor, former democrat turned Trump republican Bobby Bright. The whole situation is laughable.
It just show how maggot infested both parties are .. corrupt at the top, lacking in substance or style, full of hatred for those they supposedly represent..
Add Capito to that list.
Will do, I thought she was already on it, LOL!
My daughter and her friends were over last week and I experienced the same thing- all around 20 to 22 years old, they love Trump.
I had to fill them in on hilLIARy’s crimes it was weird because Whitewater and 900 FBI files and etc happened 10 to 20 years before they were born...
To me Bill and Hill are recent history, to them it was ancient history... Like my grandparents telling me what President Herbert Hoover was like.
I remember many said Trump couldn’t get things done. He’s done more since January 20, 2017 than Presidents with two terms in office (read: the previous resident in the White House).
The elites are beginning to fear the electorate. This is a good thing and was intended to be so by the Founders.
One note to Republicans/Independents: remember to review the 2016 voting map, a map which reveals that Hillary’s 50+% came, primarily, from the fringes along the East and West Coast populations. Either convert those voters this Fall and in 2020, or get out millions of other voters from those voting districts. The rest of sane America is with Trump!
Excellent news!
Funny how moving out of Mummy's basement and getting a real job changes one's entire perspective, isn't it?
Where?
That generation loves and gets most of their news on line they should search the Clintons on YouTube. Even Obamas identity is exposed on YouTube.
“Moderate Democrat” means nothing. There are no moderate Democrats once they are in Congress. They all vote as they are told. When you vote for the Democrat you vote for the Party. The candidate is nothing other than the face on the screen.
The truth of it brought me "up short"!
In a word: COVFEFE!
The only danger is for Patriots to fear.
Alexander and Kennedy from Louisiana? I thought they were solid.
