Sure, lets publish something crowing about Trump causing China to back down, that causes the Chinese to lose face and be angered

Then see how much cooperation we get in the future

or what they do to correct the slight and restore their pride and standing

Some people are clueless
Others deliberately seek to undermine Trump and make his job even harder
