Complete with pearl clutching and fainting chairs.
Trump detractors dont seem to understand this concept. Perhaps some of them can enlighten us as to how their own strategy has worked so well over the past 5 decades.
Absolutely.
I agree!
Time and time again, Salena Zito’s famous observation rings true -
We all need to take Trump seriously, not necessarily literally.
So Trump should have left the summit and started publicly trashing Kim?
Great strategy.
Kim loves “his people” who are all located in Pyeongyang.
The same people who wear Che t shirts suddenly care about human rights.
Do people not understand that every word that Trump utters or tweets is being reported back to NOK. His words are shaped to influence more than the idiots in the media.
“But he’s starved them. He’s been brutal to them. He still loves his people?”
I guess it’s “tough love”.
But seriously, Trump is obviously flattering the guy to appeal to his ego. Kim is playing nice, so he gets the carrot. He starts acting tough again, he’ll get the stick.
Because nothing says Nazi like moving our embassy to Jerusalem.
Trump is doing Nazi all wrong.
“He was vicious, but fair.”
Maybe he should go practice in private until he gets the hang of it.
Well, if he keeps practicing, maybe someday he will get the hang of it.
We had NO problem working with Stalin when it served our interests.
If the Liberals want war with NK to remove this guy they should just say it.
“”But he’s starved them. He’s been brutal to them. He still loves his people?” Van Susteren asked.”
Fair question ... however Trump is a few steps ahead of them. Trump is stroking the ego of Kim to get a critical deal with him. Trump is characterizing Kim as what he would like to see him become rather than what he is. Trump is also not going to get a deal with Kim by badgering him about his human rights abuses.
Your post made me laugh.
Whenever this kind of thing happens, the Never Trumpers sneak forth to spew...
Japan did some truly horrible things during WWII. Should we have stayed at war with them forever until there was justice for every wrong that they did?
