I certainly apologize to you and anyone else who is offended by my posting this thread.

But let me explain why I did.

I spent my life as a businessman. I learned very early on that the only foundation for a successful business is an absolute and relentless devotion to the finding out, evaluating, speaking, facing up to, etc., etc...the truth.

This means listening to everyone speak his or her mind, no matter how painful it might be and returning the same as politely as possible but still leaving no doubt as to meaning.

It means digging through vast piles of opinions and information and examining EVERYTHING.

Only then can a businessman make an informed and educated decision.

Of course, that doesn't mean you always make the right decision but at least you will have a fighting chance to face up to the facts about yourself, your company, your products, etc., etc. and to improve, fix, adjust wherever you find an error.

And if you bring your clients into this loop, you can build trusting, long-term relationships.

Anyway, working with the truth as you know it is addictive.

It is the best policy in business and life.

Now...all that said, is the video at the link at the top of this thread absolutely accurate? I don't know.

I watched it a couple of times and found it thought provoking...and thought others might also.

As an aside, I read the Koran years ago. It didn't feel right. It left me with major reservations as to Islam and their claims about Allah.

I have read (and still do daily) the "Old Testament" and many Christian and Jewish commentaries. It left me stunned with its beauty and wisdom and absolute feeling of holiness. I have weighed it in every way I can imagine and come to only one conclusion. The God of Israel and the Jewish people is THE Creator.

I read the "New Testament" (and still do daily) and am equally blown away and convinced of its truthfulness.

It is not my job to convince anyone of anything, but I do feel an obligation to share things I find that Freepers might find thought provoking.

People will make up their own minds about the truth. They always do.

I read it also, in high school when I was going through my "searching for myself" phase. I placed it in the same category as "Mein Kampf", "The Communist Manifesto", and "Das Kapital".

Nothing has changed my view that the matters put forth in any of those writings are pure and simple gibberish and argle-bargle ...
