Snip...
The best distillation of the Trump Doctrine I heard, though, came from a senior White House official with direct access to the president and his thinking. I was talking to this person several weeks ago, and I said, by way of introduction, that I thought it might perhaps be too early to discern a definitive Trump Doctrine.
No, the official said. Theres definitely a Trump Doctrine.
What is it? I asked. Here is the answer I received:
The Trump Doctrine is Were America, Bitch. Thats the Trump Doctrine.
It struck me almost immediately that this was the most acute, and attitudinally honest, description of the manner in which members of Trumps team, and Trump himself, understand their role in the world.
I asked this official to explain the idea. Obama apologized to everyone for everything. He felt bad about everything. President Trump, this official said, doesnt feel like he has to apologize for anything America does. I later asked another senior official, one who rendered the doctrine not as Were America, Bitch but as Were America, Bitches, whether he was aware of the 2004 movie Team America: World Police, whose theme song was America, F*** Yeah!
Of course, he said, laughing. The president believes that were America, and people can take it or leave it.
Were America, Bitch is not only a characterologically accurate collective self-appraisalthe gangster fronting, the casual misogyny, the insupportable confidencebut it is also perfectly Rorschachian. To Trumps followers, Were America, Bitch could be understood as a middle finger directed at a cold and unfair world, one that no longer respects American power and privilege. To much of the world, however, and certainly to most practitioners of foreign and national-security policy, Were America, Bitch would be understood as self-isolating, and self-sabotaging.

When I was in high school, my German teacher complained, “Why do Americans expect Germans to speak English? Why don’t they (she was from Germany) learn German?”
Without thinking, I blurted out, “Because we won!”
Sure didn’t help my grade that semester...
Folks like Jeff Goldberg don’t like the fact America wins more medals at the Olympics than other countries. If the US wins gold on the last day and some small country’s anthem has not been played yet, Jeff thinks we should play theirs just so everyone gets a chance.
“It struck me almost immediately that this was the most acute, and attitudinally honest, description of the manner in which members of Trumps team, and Trump himself, understand their role in the world.”
I highly doubt Trump would word his message/doctrine with the “b”word. Seems to me the source doesn’t really speak well for/of Trump.
So...who is this person? No name? Fake news.
No need to read further.
But I do kind of like the new confidence and bold arrogance of the Trump Doctrine.
Obama was apologizing and groveling at the feet of world leaders with his tail between his legs.
Trump stands tall and confidently says America is El Perrón.
Loose translation: America is the Big Dog!
Until Trump proves otherwise, I’m down with what he’s doing, and what he stands for.
Isn’t that where most conservatives have been for the last 30 or so years? We’ve been cucked for at least that long. Even Reagan granted amnesty to illegals.
The thing that gives me confidence isnt a philosophy as such, it there mere presence of The Trump in the Oval Office.
The man is the greatest strategic genius the world has known since Charlemagne. His understanding of strategy and human psychology is unsurpassed in our times.
“Let them hate, so long as they fear.”
Nifty little Roman saying.
Trump didn't, or at least, wasn't quoted as saying this.
"We're America, bitch" is the term a senior official used to describe the Trump Doctrine.
Is there a such thing as TOO gangsta?
More importantly...it is WHY we voted for him.
We Are America !!!
Nicely put.
This is just another Jonah Goldberg mental masturbation exercise.
“What does ‘You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar’ mean?
“This means that it is easier to persuade people if you use polite arguments and flattery than if you are confrontational.”
The French President Macron makes his points without acting like an eight-year old or losing his temper.
I frigging love it.
L
“Screw you, we’re Americans!!”
(with apologies to Ray Wylie Hubbard....)
The late Rick James was known to coin a similar phrase when asked who he was.
Magnificent :D
