Homeschooling Expands As Parents Seethe Over Liberal Social Engineering And Violence
SHTF Plan ^ | 6-11-2018 | Mac Slavp

Homeschooling rates are skyrocketing as parents are continually getting more and more upset at the leftist social engineering taking place in public schools. The indoctrination is getting so bad, that some parents are even concerned about liberal violence against those who reject the brainwashing.

According to The Washington Times, the recent school shooting at Parkland, Florida, was the last straw for scores of parents. The paper noted that “the phones started ringing at the Texas Home School Coalition, and they haven’t stopped yet.”

“When the Parkland shooting happened, our phone calls and emails exploded,” said coalition president Tim Lambert. “In the last couple of months, our numbers have doubled. We’re dealing with probably between 1,200 and 1,400 calls and emails per month, and prior to that it was 600 to 700.” But according to Natural News, it isn’t just the rampant violence worrying some parents. That’s just the tip of the collectivist agenda iceberg.

Christopher Chin, head of Homeschool Louisiana, told The Times that parents are fed up with “the violence, the bullying, the unsafe environments.” Many parents are also disturbed by the social engineering, which amounts to brainwashing and indoctrination that goes on in a public school. For example, a Minnesota public school is forcing Kindergarten students to study ‘white privilege’.

The left-wing curriculum and common core are also driving parents to remove their children from public schools. Brian D. Ray, who heads up the National Home Education Research Institute, in Salem, Oregon, who’s conducted homeschooling research for 33 years, told The Times that concern over school curriculum has reached the top of the charts for most parents. Ray said the top three reasons that parents choose homeschooling are a desire to provide religious instruction or different values than those offered in public schools; dissatisfaction with the academic

Congrats, you done well. My two who are semi-adults (lol) are in or studying their desired fields too. I believe they are the best “them” they could be. No peer group or weird ass teachers made them fit any mold. (Most teachers are wonderful but some are not)

You are correct.

All the talk about parents being "involved" is great but it takes more than that.

I'm a retired public school teacher, and I can say-with absolutely NO hesitation-that the number one thing that a school administration wants to avoid conflict with is the school board.

If you want to wrest control of your schools from leftist administrators, run for and win the seats as they open on your local school board.

The leftists are determined to spread their BS and will fight tooth and nail any attempt by parents or other community members to halt their takeover. The only thing that will stop them is if you threaten their income. When you control the school board you control what goes on in your public school.

Put your public school system back the way it was intended to be. Take control of your school board and fire the azzholes who refuse to run the schools the way the community tells them they are to be run.

“Get you children out of the cess pool public schools.”

But, but, but, MY public schools are JUST WONDERFUL. In fact, just last Saturday, I saw Johnny’s WONDERFUL teacher at the supermarket - proving that she is human. And she really cares about people, as she always smiles when I see her.

Sure, there are other schools, bad schools, but those are OVER THERE, not here, in WONDERFUL school district that my WONDERFUL students attend.

From what I’ve seen if people won’t fire their school boards over their drunken-sailor spending which forces you to pay $10K+ in property taxes for the privilege of living in your own home, they certainly won’t fire them over curriculum.

It was just revealed to me that my child’s high school history teacher was giving extra credit to those who were enamored with the Hamilton Play. My daughter thought the play was so wrong how it was racist. She has two years left. I am finding alternatives for these last two years.

You're absolutely right. If your school board doesn't care or if the board is controlled by the left, electing more leftist is not going to solve the problem.

All I'm saying is that if you (your school district) REALLY want to change your school back into an educational institution and get rid of the indoctrination, the only way to do that is to control the school board.

Like most other areas in government, citizens got too busy doing other things in the 50's and 60's and took their eye off of their school system thinking that "the professionals would do what's best."

It doesn't work that way.

Just as the federal and most state governments have grown into a monsters because citizens weren't watching what was going on, your schools have turned into libtard factories.

If you want to control what your schools do, both academically as well as how the tax bill grows, you have to be involved in making the decisions.

And those decisions are made in only one place.

Anyone with school age children must ask themselves why they would ever send their child where God is not welcome?

What kind of compromise are you willing to make to get out of your responsibility to raise your child. Many parent's I witnessed over my 11 years of homeschooling would say things like, I can't wait for school to start to get them out of my hair." Then when they turned up pregnant or taking or selling drugs, or bringing their same sex boyfriend home, they wondered out loud how this could happen to them? The child is your responsibility. Ask yourself how much you can pay someone to love your child as much as you do? Sort of like asking someone else to guard your money.

Joh 10:13 The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep.

before we know it, homeschooling will be classified as child abuse

I believe anyone sending their kids to public school in many (maybe most) school districts is guilty of child abuse.

Two can play at that game...

Public schools .. Its primary strength for most families is as a free daycare.

Ditto >50% of post-secondary indoctrination, truth be known.

Homeschoolers have been accused of that far more than most people know.

Yes you do. Our Catholic school seems just as self-conscious about diversity and The Environment(TM) religion as just about any.

Well, considering the direction the pope is going in, it's hardly a surprise.

Dear taxpayers, what are your local schools doing differently since Parkland? Anything at all? What are they waiting for?

I would think that this country is ripe for a well organized group of companies to put forth ON LINE SCHOOLING, which parents can monitor at will.

I think our nun sees it as “nice”. I seriously think that’s the way they view these issues. It’s nice to be nice to people of all kinds, and make them feel good, and it’s nice to take care of the ecosystem and not just dig up trees. It was easy to fall for the leftist claptrap because it seems “logical” that these are nice things. Never mind what else it means.

Don’t worry. I think there will be a dilemma when the homo question comes up. I will be there with a “gotcha”!
