That was no mistake. It was a cheap shot by a cheap piece of expensive tail. Screw Fox news.
That pattern of speech is how many of us talk out loud.
One would usually not write the same statement down in that same manner. “what we’re seeing right now’ is said parenthetically. The muted tone of the speaker’s voice would give that away were it spoken.
I don’t watch television, had no idea who this person was, found the video clip and watched it...
My impression was it was a gaffe, not some kind of attempt at slipping in a jab at Trump, and I despise all things media by default.
I think people are overreacting a bit on this. Just my opinion from having no idea who she was and having never listened to a word from her before, so I didn’t really carry much baggage for or against her.
I was listening to Dan Bongino the other day, and he made the comment that doing live work is far more demanding than doing a podcast, where you can go back, edit, remove something stupid you said, or something that didn’t come out the way you wanted it to. His opinion was, if you do it long enough, you’re going to make a mistake.
I wonder if it was in the TelePrompTer and she just read what she saw.
