If an army marches on its stomach, the forces at Fort Hamilton had better learn to cook.
Eateries near the Brooklyn Army base, which handed over an undocumented pizza deliveryman to immigration agents last week, are now refusing to send their own workers into the garrison.
I wont send my guys there anymore, said Josefina Cardoso, owner of the El Puente restaurant in Bay Ridge.
I would feel guilty if something happened.

Other local delivery guys said the guards rarely check for any ID. They dont ask us for ID, said Juan Salvador, 38, an immigrant from Guatemala who delivers for Fourth Avenue deli Goustaro. But his manager said she, too, is now afraid to send undocumented food couriers into the federal facility.

Spitting into white peoples food is common. Cops usually never eat at the fast food places in Chicago.
Do we have a phone number for take-out orders?
Yup, send ICE to that place.
And what the hell did he think was going to happen? The illegal was going to a FEDERAL installation.
Ft Hamilton commander needs to make all those place off limits to personel and send each restaurant a letter informing them of that fact.
Of course, now that we know that Miss Josefina knowingly hires illegal criminal invaders, it is imperative that ICE investigate not only her restaurant and employees' citizenship, including HERS, but other restaurants and their staff. Who wants to bet they'd scare up a passel of illegals that way?
And thanks fellow FReepers for bringing up the security issue, which I missed. I certainly hope our military bases considerably tighten up their security after this article was published.
“Other local delivery guys said the guards rarely check for any ID. They dont ask us for ID,
Those guards need to be punished.
ICE needs to put eateries who hire illegals out of business, and jail the owners.
Those guards need to be punished.
You are right, someone needs to be punished. This is NY City, a known terrorist target.
It seems that the idiots don’t realize that they admitted that are knowingly hiring illegal immigrants. That is a federal offense too.
Mexico?
Try to enter any military installation in the US.
You need a reason to be on post or a sponsor, your ID, vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
I wont send my guys there anymore, said Josefina Cardoso, owner of the El Puente restaurant in Bay Ridge.
An ICE audit is needed here.

If they are not checking ids at the post gate, then someone in security needs to get seriously chewed out.
“I wont send my guys there anymore, said Josefina Cardoso, owner of the El Puente restaurant...”
Just remember Josefina...the Army doesn’t boycott businesses...
They make them “Off Limits”.
And, that’s an order, soldier.
I got detained by six or seven US Marines when I tried to enter a US Navy base with an ID.
They had me in a chair in the guard shack and were badgering me and asking questions like “How do we know you aren’t a spy?” and “Who won the World Series in 1967?”
My thoughts exactly.
And, to ensure the troops are aware of the newly-added off limits business...an MP vehicle parked along the road at the business entry just to deter unaware troops (as identified by gate pass stickers on their windshield).
exactly my thought
excellent point
I would feel guilty if something happened.
Gosh, too bad this ass doesn't feel guilty that he might be illegally employing illegals! I think all red blooded patriotic AMERICANS that were customers of his or any one else that pulls this crap should immediately discontinue patronage of these merchants and there should be immediate audits of their payroll records and employee documentation.
Be a Dick............get a shot to the balls!
ALL the restaurants-—Mexican—Chinese—Italian—ALL of them.
Maybe an ICE agent should work these gates with the military for awhile.
