I may not be a smart man, but I would suggest that the person who wrote this article, benefited from an excellent education.
Moreover, I think it is foolish to leave philosophy sorely in the hands of the Marxists. Hill’s is a much needed voice - seemingly at times, crying in the wilderness.
And regarding French literature? If he was studying Descartes & Voltaire, I think he was on the right track.
It was the Marxist who had the useless degrees, not the author, IIUC.
