Trump is completely correct from a long term historical perspective. There is no guarantee that Canada will remain a faithful ally of the United States and provide us with steel in times of war. Look at the government Mexico is about to elect. Canada is most likely to oppose any war we are involved in.
We'll just annex them temporarily and plunder what we want.
