Soros-backed candidates lost to more traditional law-and-order prosecutors who didn’t share progressive views or have hostile attitudes toward police......obsessed progressives who favor lower incarceration rates, crackdowns on police misconduct and changes in a bail system that they argue discriminates against the poor.
The problem here...is if Soros candidate did win...is that they’d try certain cases with zero enthusiasm, and certain cases with maximum enthusiasm. Both would attract attention and within five years...create a wave of negativity with the general public to fire the DAs. All this would do is plant a major shift in politics in the next decade and trigger a backlash against the state authority.
