A photo surfaced which reportedly showed that the Mao's grandson turned up at some event in Beijing after the report of his possible death.
So he seems to be alive. Since Kim Jong-un's response was over the top and some victims' identity are still unknown, there is still suspicion that somebody important (or the one closely related to somebody important) was among the dead.
