Thank you for the article, which I read with interest. What the writer overlooks is that the DOJ, as part of the executive branch, is subject to the authority of the president. If President Trump wanted Rosenstein to be recused, the DAG would either have to obey or resign. (Remember the fate of Rosenstein's predecessor, Sally Yates?) The same is true regarding access to documents, which would be released in an instant if the president commanded.
The inescapable fact is that President Trump has not issued such orders, so he obviously has his reasons. And given that grand juries have been working in at least three federal districts, I suspect his reasons have to do with timing.
By the way, drive over to 1180 Peachtree Street NE and ask Sally Yates if she is worried. She just might vomit.
Do you not understand the Mueller witch hunt at all??? Yates was fired before the Deep State coup to destroy Trump’s presidency got underway. Now Trump is literally being investigated for obstruction for simply ***thinking*** (allegedly), about firing Sessions. Trump can’t even speak directly to Sessions anymore; Mueller would open yet another obstruction investigation.
Read up on Mueller. His specialty is framing innocent people and dragging witch hunts out forever. He succeeded in driving one innocent man to suicide and he worked to insure that two other innocent men, framed by the FBI, died in prison.
None of this stuff is hard. It’s all readily available and painfully obvious. The Sessions-Rosenstein-Mueller hit squad is trying to drive Trump to emulate Nixon. The moment Trump steps into the trap they will begin the process of destroying him in earnest. They won’t let up until they succeed, and the GOP, led by Trump-haters Ryan and McConnell, will help them every step of the way.
If Trump fired either Sessions or Eisenstein Congress would not approve a replacement. And the politiclans and media types would repeat over and over that this proves Trump is guilty.
And who knows what lies and stories Sessions and Rosensein would tell the media and the Mueller investigators.
In the short term, it is less harmful to leave them in place.
