Politicians have known this ever since I started working, 35 years ago. they probably no longer, but that’s when I first started paying attention. They’ve been too cowardly to touch it.
They just got a $1,569 premium increase from every person on Medicare. While that person got $12 per year. That is what that 2% CRUMB COLA raise netted most. If you are also Ret. Military on Tricare Life you Co-pays went up. SENIORS NETTED 0. We had over $7K in medical expenses, and couldn’t claim a dime thanks to DUMBO. Plus we paid Federal INCOME TAX on our 2 SS incomes, his Navy pension, as he’s 78 and forced to withdraw the minimum from his piddly IRA. I’ll be forced to in 2.5 yrs.
