In the 1970’s, rural Evangelicals and urban Catholics defected to the GOP because the Democrats were veering too far to the left. But the country club GOPe didn’t really want these riff raff in their tent.
These people have been attacked by Liberals and dissed and played by the GOPe for the past 45 years. But they are Trump’s most loyal constituents.....Trump’s army, so to speak.
The Swamp creatures have never been scared of them, because, up until Trump came along, nobody ever acted as their champion. Now they’re starting to sweat and heading for the exits.
