What’s the logical nexus between the national anthem and police brutality and social inequality against people of color?

I browsed some of the comments after this story, and every one I read was pro-Trump and anti-NFL losers. Football fans have about had it with this crap. It’s all based on lies, and what is it exactly that they hope to accomplish? Rebels without a clue.

I’ll be watching college football and maybe the CFL... no NFL for me.

There is none, and that's really not even the most basic question. Fans don't buy tickets, or turn on their TVs, to learn the political views of players or anyone else associated with NFL games. The protesters are abusing their fans and taking advantage of them and many fans are sending their message back to the protesters.

The players have no right to protest during any portion of a game. The owners, always pandering to the players, have simply allowed it to persist and their latest scheme of players staying in the locker room will be an even bigger turn off to some fans than kneeling on the sideline.

Watch for them standing and doing the fist salute.... aka was done at the Olympics by Tommie Smith and John Carlos at the 68 games.

Source: Washington Post

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/retropolis/wp/2017/09/24/they-didnt-takeaknee-the-black-power-protest-salute-that-shook-the-world-in-1968/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.aab914b3feaf

Key excerpt

U.S. Olympians Tommie Smith and John Carlos — who’d won gold and bronze respectively in the 200-meter sprint — raising black-gloved fists during the medal ceremony at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City became one of the most iconic sports images of the 20th century.

The protest had been something the two athletes carefully planned. As Smith and Carlos walked to the podium, they took off their shoes to protest poverty. They wore beads and a scarf to protest lynchings. And when the national anthem was played, they lowered their heads in defiance and raised their fists in a Black Power salute that rocked the world.

Even the Eagles coach has enough common sense to not get into the mix.

Of course , he and the owners, will not tell the players, “ enough is enough”

“OK, I can accept that.”

Why? It’s a lie.

Blacks are not being shot or arrested or imprisoned out of proportion to the number and savagery of the crimes they commit.

It’s not happening, and those who say it is are a stench in our nation’s nostrils.

I am so sick of those who preface their remarks with some variant of “They have a right to their opinion.”

They don’t.

A person has no moral right to slander the innocent just because he is a slobbering idiot who believes every racist lie that anyone cares to tell about whites.

Why did the owners finally get enough backbone to make a “New
Rule” for how players should act during the National Anthem?

****************

The NFL has a ways to go before they can get it correct like the NBA. The NBA has for many years had a clause in their rules which is a part of all players contracts.

See #2 below:

snip

H. PLAYER/TEAM CONDUCT AND DRESS
(1) Each player when introduced, prior to the game,
must be uniformly dressed.
(2) Players, coaches and trainers are to stand and l
ine up in a dignified posture along
the sidelines or on the foul line during the playin
g of the National Anthem.
(3) Coaches and assistant coaches must wear a sport
coat or suit coat.
(4) While playing, players must keep their uniform s
hirts tucked into their pants, and
no T-shirts are allowed.
(5) The only article bearing a commercial ‘logo’ whi
ch can be worn by players is
their shoes.

The bottom lines is that we (the people) do not pay to see you protest anything for any reason. You do that on your own time your own dime. You do it on ours and we are taking our money elsewhere. Actually already have done so, so there is that!

“We’re not anti-American! NO NO!” “We’re simply pro-criminal shitbag like Michael Brown.”

I illustrated at the top that this Kaepernick-led movement is primarily Communist inspired. But commie revolutionaries support and back the violent street gangs and other various thugs. They see them as "soldiers" for the Revolution. In fact it was a communist org that led the Rodney King riots in LA. The RCP (Revolutionary Communist Party)

How many of these NFL and NBA players would be millionaires if not for this country and the veterans who’ve given their time and lives for it???

How many of these NFL and NBA players have ever done anything PRODUCTIVE of the country and for the people of America???

How many of these NFL and NBA players would’ve gotten anything close to a college education if not for our country???

Nuff said.....

The revived XFL debuts in two years. By that time, the pathetic NFL will have such a low reputation among fans that the new league may have a chance.
