Which of James’s campaigns ? He first got started back in ‘78 (you probably remember that he actually was a Republican initially, but because except for the 3 GOP incumbents in Congress at the time, you couldn’t get elected squat to statewide office, so he switched out of mere convenience to the Dems, before switching back 16 years later).

The only reason I voted for the GOP Presidential ticket in ‘08 was that I thought McQueeg would croak from the stress and we’d have Palin. Like you, I repudiated that vote. I warned at the time that the candidates were all horrible. ‘12 was the absolute nadir. I didn’t climb aboard that abortion, as I had fully repudiated the equally fraudulent Willard 6 years earlier. I voted for Congressman Virgil Goode on the 3rd party line for President.

Of course, some didn’t realize until later that the ‘08 and ‘12 elections weren’t legitimate at all. It was a pre-selected farce. The Democrats and the leftist RINO Establishment had already anointed Zero. They just had to make sure he drew no legitimate Conservative opponent who could actually stop him. McQueeg and Willard were behind sabotaging Trump in ‘16 to assist Hillary. Corrupt and treasonous to the core. Note neither ever went “nuclear” against Zero, yet they have never hesitated to do so against Conservatives. I hope both of them end up in prison (or shall I say the 4 of them, Hillary and Zero, too).

And finding out, too, that the Bush family was all a part of that same corrupt apparatus was sickening. But both pretty much paved the way for Bubba the Rapist in ‘92 and Zero in ‘08. I say that it was Reagan’s gravest error to have selected a Bush to be his running mate. If he had gone with a statesman like Paul Laxalt, we’d have gotten 16 years of Conservative GOP rule in the WH, perhaps longer. The Clintoons would never have gotten out of Arkansas and Zero might still be the nobody State Senator he was until 2004, pining away to be Mayor of Chicago or succeeding Bobby Rush in Congress.

Of course, our biggest mistake is putting faith in politicians at all. We’ll support President Trump as long as he does right, but there’s always the worry he might veer off the wrong way. We’re better off putting our faith in God.

I was active duty from 1976 through 1998, so I wasn’t doing anything for any candidate.

After I retired, I canvased for Fob in his 1998 loss. First time out of the gate I backed the loser, but hell’s bells, he wasn’t a democrat! And Siegelman was a crook.

Since I left the military I’ve been helping out every campaign season for a variety of Republicans, all voluntary.

The Roy Moore thing was also a big mistake, but I do believe the media broke him. He would have been a quirky senator, but never a socialist. Big Luther was crookedly appointed, so Mo Brooks was the only logical choice, but he lost. Jones will not be reelected. I’m hoping Mo runs.

I’ve come to see some of the unconditional support I’ve been giving Republicans was a mistake. With the democratic party vanquished here, I am now RINO hunting!
