I’d guess it would be in the best interest of business to change their business models in regards to part time work.

There are tens of thousands of very experienced retired/older workers who already worked 20-30-40 years, would likely be happy take on part time work, but employers don’t offer many part time positions.

Or the opposite. Older people who would like full time work with bennies and keep getting 30 hr weeks at Home Depot etc. get some more full time grateful older people on the real payroll. They don’t go out behind the barn to get high. They don’t come in Sunday monrning hung over, and they don’t hit on all the women (well, ok, maybe 2 out of 3). Older guys are good employees.

Ah, I’d take a wild guess most retired/older folks who’ve worked 30-40 years have no desire to work full time. And most probably don’t even need full time work. It’s why business, if they really need help and can’t find people, ought to create more part time positions. I’d bet there are whole lot of retired/older people out there who’d likely fill those part time positions.
