Don't you think those things eventually come out in a campaign? Look at what happened to Roy Moore.

Why did she run in the first place if she had nasty skeletons in the closet? Why do any of them run? One would think they conceded the risk at that point, so why worry about it now when the integrity of the nation is at stake.

Nope. Who will report them? Not any compromised or already ideologically aligned press! And any independent report will be dismissed as an absurd fantasy that only the tin-foil hat brigade would believe

It's MAD, anyone who wanders off the reservation has his (or her) own skeletons exposed. Expose your opponent, and if we want them to win, we will destroy you, your reputation, your family, your bank account and most critically, any hope you ever have of getting another taste that most addictive of all drugs, power.

It wasn't even MAD in the case of Judge Moore, who doesn't have a state sponsored spy network, it was more like The United States vs Grenada. How did that turn out for Grenada, hmmm?

Because the world's only guy without any skeletons in his closet was crucified 2000 years ago by a similarly democratic mob and is ineligible to run for president?
