“but prosecutors offered no evidence that he personally destroyed property.”

Why not?

Why not?”

Obama holdover prosecutors. Under the helm of heroic napping Sessions. They are assigned to fail the President as much as possible (remember when the DOJ prosecutor botched miserably the travel ban case?).
Sessions has proven time and time again to be worse than useless.

It's not the courts or the juries, it's the prosecutors that are the joke.

If this guy didn't participate in the destruction, what were they charging him for?

If attending a protest march is a crime just because you know someone might cause mayhem, then right of assembly is dead, and we should notify all assemblies of the democratic party that someone might cause mayhem there, forcing them all to stay home.

The guy may be despicable for protesting a fair election, and inparticular Trump who already has demonstrated extraordinary skill as Potus. But he still has rights. And prosecutors didn't apparently have anything on him, except attendance....or failed to use what they had.

They’re probably young lawyers. Maybe they’re throwing the game; sort of like “prosecutor nullification.”
