I’ve been carrying (legally) since I was 21. I’ve never had a negligent discharge. Every gun I carry has a manual safety and every gun is loaded and chambered. And if it’s one of my 1911’s, yeah, it’s cocked and the safety is on. I carry anything from a smith 459 to a 1911 chambered in 10mm.
I don’t go into bars and drink when I’m armed, even though it’s legal I the state I’m in. I don’t allow my feet to go over my head. And if I’m going to be doing anything physical, I select a thumb break holster.
This guy is a disgrace to the bureau. Cops are supposed to be the safest firearms carriers there are. He injured someone who was co oletely innocent. I don’t know what the FBI’s protocol is in this situation, but he’s gonna be sitting down with his SAIC and discussing his career plans. And I would be moving for his career plans do not include law enforcement.
Oh yeah, and my finger doesn’t go inside the %*#^!#%* trigger guard until I’m ready to shoot!!
