It is not just millennials. I have witnessed casual conversations where someone says something slightly positive about Trump (or even a backhanded compliment) and the faces of others turn hard, angry and the eyes bulge. Then the nasty comments come.

And these aren’t millennials. They are boomers, including professional people. The unthinking, reactionary, bat-$#!^ malevolent hatred for this man and anyone who voted for him is astounding. This eclipses the GWB hate by light years. It is not rational and it is not sane.

I avoid any discussions about politics these days, particularly with those I know lean left. “Live and let live” has gone by the wayside. We live in very unusual times.

Describes the people I work with - as soon as politics comes up, the hatefest begins. They are so completely weaponized in the crap they’ve soaked in about Trump, it is impossible to have a reasonable conversation with them.
