At this point, it's really a function of how interested Trump is in pursuing justice. If it serves the MAGA objective, great. If not ie the criminals are more useful as a hammer to achieve political policy initiatives, then that's how he'll roll.
But for the coup plotters, they don't know which way Trump will go, so they're only possible chance (slim to none) is cast any future legal action not as a prosecution of justice but a persecution for political purposes.
Words sound similar, but it makes a huge difference how it plays out in the media and public square. They're all the same - they *must* make outlandish claims and observations, as if they are innocent in the entire matter.
This is truly put up or shut up time for Sessions. After the release of this IG report, if he and Rosenstein don’t immediately issue indictments and start criminal proceedings, they both need to be fired on the spot.

Oh, I get every bit of that politically speaking. But there are vast amounts of US government money involved... and a novel concept these days— Treason.

We cannot be a country without identifying and prosecuting criminals of this ilk— because it is beyond mere corruption, but non-plebiscite corrosion of our form of government.
