Oscar-winning actress Sally Field followed comedian Samantha Bee’s apology Thursday with a tweet suggesting that her initial attack had not gone far enough.
Saying that she liked Bee “a lot,” Field appeared to claim that the word she had used to describe first daughter Ivanka Trump was too good for her.

Bee apologized for her comments in a tweet just an hour prior to Field’s, admitting, “it was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it.”
Thursday was not the first time Field backed someone who made vile attacks on women in the White House. Following Michelle Wolf’s widely-panned performance at April’s White House Correspondents Dinner, Field cheered her as “honest and brilliantly funny.” She then went on to claim that if discourse had gotten ugly, it was President Trump’s fault anyway.

Sally Fields is a mischievous little elf, dancing at the periphery of vision, not especially significant in any way, and is likely to take up a cause for capricious reason.
In retrospect many of her roles, like Forrest Gump’s mama, or as Norma Rae, the Union Maid, have fed into the liberal mindset, but she is not herself very conscious of the greater ramifications of what it was all supposed to mean.
Skank with a heart of gold? Sorry, that is a chimera, a mythical beast that cannot exist outside fiction.

with one sentence, S Fields showed her ugly colors, and it will be her legacy. After all her movies.. all her life’s work, she shot it all down the rat hole by going political and being another hateful envious liberal feminist.
Used to like her in some stuff. Made a total fool of herself when she won an Emmy or Oscar, and started gushing to the academy, “You like me! You really, really like me!” Didn’t know about this present stunt. Garross!
Are there any decent female comedians left?
I expected some discretion from her. There are lots of Hollyweirds who don’t start babbling mindlessly about inane stuff. I think she has neurons left in her skull.
