Starbucks Anti-Bias Training “Missed the Mark Completely,” Say Two Philly Baristas (FAIL!)

--SNIP-- “The videos of cops knocking people down and fighting people were really disturbing,” Tina explained. “I told them I didn’t like the video and they told me they understood and that I was open to give my opinion.” What does watching videos about police brutality have to do with the situation that happened, Tina said she kept asking herself. “They went too deep into it and missed the point all at the same time.” “At one point,” said Jamie, “a girl at my table actually had to get up and leave because video after video they showed black people being assaulted by police or black people being verbally assaulted and white people being racially biased toward people of color. It offended her. She left after that.”

A) The nationwide closing would allow each store’s employees to speak frankly and openly about anything on their minds ie the ‘dialogue’ leftists are always banging on about.

B) The nationwide closing would be a window for meetings involving preprinted literature from corporate and precompiled videos a la ‘A Clockwork Orange’ intended to create and reinforce groupthink.

Only one of these can be true. Guess which one applied?

Starbucks: Come right in. You’ll feel at home with us. We hate white people too. Unless they’re homeless.

Based on all of my visits (in airports and malls, both in the US and Europe) to Starbucks...I’d say that roughly 90-percent of the personnel are either college-students, first-job applicants, or minority (mostly all black) workers.

It’s a minimum wage operation, and the folks brewing the coffee aren’t there because they are clever or advancing employees.

Of course it failed. They only did it to publicly appease their clientele. Why else would they totally shut down business in hundreds of locations for this fiasco? All other companies in the country manage to train their employees annually without missing a day of business.

As one who will never enter a Starbucks , for fear of contamination

I have several reasons for not patronizing Starbucks, not the least of which was the "let's talk about race" thing that their employees were told to say a while back.

Being lectured to or having someone assume because I'm white that I think a certain way about non-whites is infuriating.

What was the mark it was trying to hit?

I don’t go to Starbucks...never have, never will. Consequently, I really don’t care what they do, or how they do that.

I do, however, enjoy watching Liberals “eat their own”....

The diversity industry is a sham. There is no regulation, no credentialing and no science to back it up. Anybody can do it. The tests they use to “prove” implicit bias are nonsense, with people getting widely different results on different occasions. Yet, it is highly lucrative, worth around 8 billion. It’s a racket.

They pulled a similar thing at Intel in 2002.

Yes they did … I had to attend it as I was working for Intel in Folsom at the time. Had to attend the same sort of "training" while employed by National Semiconductor and Motorola as well

If the product you are looking for is “white oppression porn” who is going to be the producer?

I have no doubts that Starbucks “Diversity Training Program” was produced by some radical Left group with ties to #BLM, and Lord knows who else.

I live in a city which is 87% black. The real issue is that most black people don't drink coffee. If they do they are not stupid enough to pay $4.50 for a cup.

The solution in our city is that all the Starbucks have become drive thru stores, serving mostly white commuters and university students.

Wouldn’t it be too funny if the two black guys who started this were producers or sales reps for diversity in the workplace training materials???!!!!!

It sure feels like they are intentionally sabotaging their own company.

Disney too. It’s extraordinary to witness.

Did they logon to World Star Hip Hop and show a million hours of black criminals assaulting white people?

Guys loiter in restaurant, CEO shows videos of cops knocking people down. In the “mind” of the leftist fool, there is a connection: the USA is fundamentally racist in every way, except that Blacks are not racist and Whitey is always racist.
If that’s the case, then why bother with the day of training? there is no hope, since all Whites are racist.
The reason for it is to prepare Whitey to give up all his money and to then be replaced.

I suspect that the real purpose of this “training” was not so much to impart
information to employees as to take some of the heat off the corporation.

*****************

You are correct in that they are trying to counter bad publicity. It may work to
a degree and in the long run I'd guess they will recover. From what I've read Starbucks
has some 25,000 stores around the world with about 1/2 in the USA. They are expanding
outside the USA much faster than here at home. Example, in China they have grown from
800 to 3200 in the past five years. Plans are to open 5,000 more by 2021 in China.

I never planned to go into Starbucks any time Tuesday anyway, so I am happy that they are gad they shut down.
Win-win.

As soon as Starbucks schedules workshops to help customers deal with the ever increasing wave of Black-Thug violent crimes of every description, they won't see me, after 12 years.

Or they can resolve to just sell **** coffee and leave politics and the justice warrior crap to the insane. Their choice.
