It’s not a liberal vs. conservative thing. It’s a black vs. white thing. As Thomas Lifson wrote today, “The mostly unspoken rules of contemporary American society hold that African Americans cannot be insulted in ways that Caucasians and some other minorities can be. This is mostly a legacy of slavery and the official discrimination that followed under Jim Crow laws passed by Democrat-controlled governmental units in the post-Civil War South.”

Well heck if that’s the case, I better never get insulted because it’s not fair, as my people the Irish were discriminated against when they came here and some were slaves I think. Also my Jewish side what about all the anti semitism my people have endured? They were not only made slaves but slaughtered by the millions. Damn. Why aren’t I protected from criticism? Phk this society.

I remember old Southern whites had a thing about how just a little bit of black blood in your family history was a scandalous thing. VJ, if I understand correctly, has one black grandfather in her genealogy. She really doesn’t appear “black”, but the modern day racists have a new take on the “one drop of black blood” way of thinking.
