President Trump's first public reaction to the cancellation of "Roseanne" is a shot at Disney CEO Bob Iger. What he didn't say is just as notable. He didn't say anything critical of Roseanne Barr's racist and conspiratorial tweets -- the comments that got her fired on Tuesday.
Instead, he tweeted this on Wednesday: "Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that 'ABC does not tolerate comments like those' made by Roseanne Barr. Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn't get the call?"
Trump and Barr have been supporters of each other for years. Trump called her up when "Roseanne" drew record ratings for its premiere in March. So that's why there was speculation that he might weigh in on the show's demise.
Rather than distancing himself from Barr's racist remarks, Trump jumped right into the argument about whether she was subjected to a double standard.
Here's the context: Jarrett was one of the targets of Barr's Twitter tirade early Tuesday morning.
Barr compared Jarrett to "Planet of the Apes" and the Muslim Brotherhood, then claimed she was just joking. The tweet was widely condemned as racist.
Jarrett, one of the most prominent African American women in politics, was one of President Obama's top aides. That's partly why Barr attacked her. Barr frequently uses her Twitter account to deride Democrats.
When her attack caught fire on Twitter, Iger and his deputies moved quickly to cancel the show.
It is true that Iger called Jarrett and told her about the decision to cancel "Roseanne" shortly before it was announced on Tuesday.

I’ve observed that when the going gets tough, Freepers blog as usual. Conservatives typically won’t walk across the street in order to preserve their way of life.
This whole thing is a load of crap with one purpose, and one purpose only - to get rid of Roseanne, because she was too conservative.

VJ is no more AA than the Big0. Neither have an inkling of what it means to be a black in the US. Excluding the democrat slaves kept in ghettos in inner cities, many US blacks are among the most meritorious in the world. Once Trump is finished with rebuilding the lives of ghetto dwellers democrats will not have a natural constituency.

So maybe one could say VJ looks like a chimp since it was OK to call the president a chimp. Maybe that's what Roseanne meant.
PC dogma says it’s perfectly OK to trash, and even kill, Whitey, but SAYING something bad about a non-White is an unforgiveable sin.
Some are more equal than others. I don’t care for Rosanne but will be out there defending what she said. It’s way more tame than what so many Hellary minions have said. She didn’t hold up a bloody Trump head, now did she.

Her parents are both African-American. Her father, a pathologist and geneticist, ran a hospital for children in Shiraz in 1956 as part of a program where American physicians and agricultural experts sought to help in the health and farming efforts of developing countries. She was born in Iran.
