Publix CEO Todd Jones on Tuesday told the father of a Parkland, Florida student killed in the February 14 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that the Florida-based supermarket chain would not be making a donation to the schools student fund. Last week leftist revolutionary Parkland student gun control activist David Hogg demanded Publix give $1 million to the Stoneman Douglas Victims fund to atone for donating a reported $670,000 in recent years to Adam Putnam, a pro-NRA Florida Republican running for governor. Hogg led a die-in inside Publix stores last Friday to protest Publixs support for Putnam, who is currently Floridas Agriculture Commissioner.

Just before the start of the die-ins Friday afternoon Publix announce it was suspending political donations for a period of review. A Publix customer service representative told this writer Friday evening Publix had taken no decision at that point on Hoggs million dollar demand.

For the first time in my Florida-living life, I shopped somewhere other than Publix for my weekly groceries. I had to drive several miles out of my way and pass 2 Publixes to do it, but I did it. The store was a mess and there were lines of people waiting to check out (two things you never see at Publix) but I am so angry Publix folded to this idiot in the first place.
We don’t live in Florida, but we do shop at Publix. I think they did a hilarious thing by dropping all political donations. And I think the photos of this tiny protest are hilarious. Best to ignore the little whiners.
This is confusing - does the writer think Hogg was killed? If not, who is the father they mention?

“”I doubt theyll have much patience for those either.””
I said last week in a post that if they were in my store I would run over them with my cart and take the consequences. What are they going to do to an elderly woman? I don’t have any patience with pukes. I have to leave my sick husband home to run to the store and I don’t have to put up with that. If they were in the parking lot and I was in my car - I’d be pretty tempted too!
I would make sure I had my last Publix shopping receipt with me, fill my cart, call for the manager, tell the pharmacist to forward all our prescriptions to Kroger and walk out - unless someone wanted to call the cops on me and not on the pukes! Oh! Well!
It’s where I should be right now but putting it off for another day. Ain’t retirement great? Nothing pressing on the grocery list.
Someone really has to tell this utter tool that his fifteen minutes are over.
Being a massively silly egomaniac will not get you very far in life, kid, and even that only as a teenager.
