I think rosanne was trying to make a point about Hollywood intolerance of conservatives. ABC was willing to sacrifice hundreds of liberal jobs to punish one conservative. That is how effed up Hollywood is now and rosanne proved it to the world. All of Hollywood has to reckon with it now because Hollywood is a relatively small community. This brings the hypocrisy home.
Also she might be trying to help her crew by labeling them liberals so they can get rehired. It is somewhat interesting that she left out the actors— maybe some of them were already out of the closet and an attempt to label them would have been too obvious of a ploy...
Anyway now maybe fox can pick them up...

So the question is what happens when someone makes an unintentionally racist remark?
Personally I tend to believe rosanne did not know. I think she should have been more politically aware but that is me. She is a comedienne not a politician. Do liberal comedians get analogous breaks?
Roseanne is not a conservative by any stretch. She remembers her working-class roots, as does John Goodman (who unlike her has an amazing voice and musical talent) which is what makes them so refreshing on Roseanne. But except for supporting Trump, she’s pretty straight left wing.
