Laurent Duvernay-Tardif could be paged next season. Duvernay-Tardif, the Chiefs' starting right guard, took part in a graduation ceremony on Tuesday at McGill University in Montreal, where he obtained his doctorate in medicine.
The degree completes seven years of study.
This is it! Today I become a doctor! Duvernay-Tardif announced on his Twitter account.
Duvernay-Tardif planned a medical, not an NFL, career when he enrolled at McGill. But he became a sixth-round draft choice of the Chiefs in 2014, and the school created a plan that allowed him to finish his degree while playing football. Those first Harvard-Yale matches were rugby. The USA won the 1920 and 1924 Gold Olympic Medals in rugby. Rated about 16th in the World now.
They do in Australia, but it is not a 4 year program.
Heh, What’s up Doc???

Thats what I posted.
Wonder if the other kids called him Tard on the playground.
Probably not twice.
Yep, just repeating is someone missed this. Rugby came from football, and American Football from Rugby. I guess Aussie rules came from Rugby. I don’t think football, or soccer, has changed much in that time frame. Now if we can do something about Rounders...
Soccer has not changed much since the 1870s, but it had changed a lot during the first half of that century. Different regions and schools played different rules. Once the Football Asdociation came into being, common rules were agreed to. Hence the term Association football or soccer.
American and Canadian gridiron football, Gaelic football, rugby, soccer, Australian rules football and many others trace back to a lot of different variations going all the way back to the Greeks and Romans.
Did not know it went that far back. Thanks for the information. It was more interesting reading your posts than doing the paper work I am supposed to be doing.
I just hope he can keep his cookies..i.e. Brain intact...not to mention the rest of his body....best wishes...but get out of nfl b4 you sustain massive injuries which make you crippled in your later professional life...remember Jim Otto....
