McGill has pre med requirements——do you really think that the med school takes kids right out of high school?

Those first Harvard-Yale matches were rugby. The USA won the 1920 and 1924 Gold Olympic Medals in rugby. Rated about 16th in the World now.

Probably not twice.

Yep, just repeating is someone missed this. Rugby came from football, and American Football from Rugby. I guess Aussie rules came from Rugby. I don’t think football, or soccer, has changed much in that time frame. Now if we can do something about Rounders...

Soccer has not changed much since the 1870s, but it had changed a lot during the first half of that century. Different regions and schools played different rules. Once the Football Asdociation came into being, common rules were agreed to. Hence the term “Association football” or “soccer.”

American and Canadian gridiron football, Gaelic football, rugby, soccer, Australian rules football and many others trace back to a lot of different variations going all the way back to the Greeks and Romans.

Did not know it went that far back. Thanks for the information. It was more interesting reading your posts than doing the paper work I am supposed to be doing.

And because he’s Canadian, he catches a football at no cost to the public, it’s paid for with their exorbitant taxes!!
