I agree with you. I would disagree with the article’s premise, that the issue is merely “two or more sides disagree on who runs the country”. The real issues are more primal than that - it’s stability, prosperity, freedoms or the structures of control, beliefs, gene pools and tribes. An authority that is tolerant of the particulars can be tolerated even if it is not ‘your’ authority. That has worked here in the past. The commissariat left is making that a thing of the past, however.
