And how else’s explain why forms and telephone trees are in Spanish, and my bank a few months ago had nothing but Spanish signs in the lobby, and voting signs are in Spanish but you must master English to become a citizen and vote.
And at Kelly AFB in San Antonio I personally saw in this huge office three generations of the same family plugging in numbers and they could not speak English worth a darn. This office had a Hispanic male in charge that spoke English and would translate into Spanish for them and spoke to them in only Spanish.

That is a very common situation at that base. Some how certain TexMex families can get numerous relatives placed on the payroll generation after generation. I am convinced that a number who are hired initially as low grade wage grade employees are illegals. The increaseing number TexMex shop and office supervisors makes effective confrontation of the situation almost impossible.
