Democrats are LAW-LESS because Republicans are BALL-LESS!!
Barone wrote “In both cases (i.e., Watergate and Obamagate), the incumbent administration regarded the oppositions unorthodox nominee as undermining the nations long-standing foreign policy and therefore dangerous to the country.”
That’s ridiculous. Obama completely undermined our long-standing foreign policy with his cozying up to radical islamists, sending hundreds of billions of dollars to Iran, his Iran deal, his fouling of the traditional UK - US relationship, his “leading from behind,” and many more foreign policy efforts designed to weaken the US in the world. The “unorthodox nominee” was Obama. Trump is reverting to the mean of US back global leadership position.
Yes, this is where that saying about the cover up being worse than the crime came into play. And we’re seeing the same thing unfold with 0bama and the DNC, only worse. Those who fail to learn from history.....
Interesting link
” “It was not something he particularly relished,” Burns said. “It was not something that I thought he was happy about doing.”
“But Obama did it anyway, clearing the field of any real competition.”
Looks like the Hillary cover up scam is failing faster than expected.
Over the head of an old man like me living in the Horse Latitudes; I think the implication is transgendered... too deep for me - and so far not verifiable. Nothing about those two could surprise me - I never thought they were what they seemed to be.
What I posted about Watergate is important for a younger generation because they have never heard it! I worked for network tv news at that time. Recent generations have only heard propaganda about Watergate for 40 years.
Patience... as the old guru said: this too shall pass. It is up to us to see that it does.
Michael Barone is superb...
Yes and no. There’s no way Haldeman’s White House would have exposed Nixon to such foreknowledge. And Mitchell, though technically unaware of the burglary before the fact, kept even Haldeman in the dark until after the arrest.
But, more importantly, CRe-eP operatives had been fighting democrat treachery for at least three years when they succumbed to the ill-fated wiretap scheme: The Pentagon Papers had been published in violation of the Official Secrets Act (among others) by the NYT; John Kerry with help from Sen. Fulbright, had lied to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee about American atrocities in Vietnam, Ted Kennedy (as well as Ramsay Clark) had met privately with the North Vietnamese purportedly to elicit lists of live POWs, Jane Fonda et al were advocating the fragging of officers, Olaf Palme was bundling European money for McGovern, and the list could go on. Not to mention the media’s continued ineffable disdain for Nixon and their resultant campaign for his ruin.
Obama not only suffered no such treachery; he and his party continued to commit all the old leftist sabotages (all graver than the proposed installation of a wiretap) and, with the media’s help, buried them.
Apples to apples? No—maybe apples to A-bombs.
Bingo Bob. There is a trouser trout in Michelles dress.
Nixon was left wing globalist garbage.
“It contained the name of his future wife.”
Libby always said that Dean was the one who turned on Nixon and the rest in the end. Didn’t know why till now. Thx.
"Mueller" and "Müller" are two ways of spelling the same name. Ü can be replaced with ue if umlauts are unavailable or you are lazy.
*
Yes, but the pronunciations are different.
If you google Heinrich Mueller, the first result will be the Gestapo chief's Wikipedia entry, complete with an umlauted ü.
The special prosecutor is pronounced MULLER.
But the point remains: Auf Deutch, Mueller == Müller.
