This incident raises a question that was asked on FR more than once, years ago, ie In this age of feminized cops who pull guns whenever they happen to feel like it what do you do when it happens to you and you have no idea wtf is going on. Once, when a cop pulled a gun, you could be reasonably sure he had a reason. If you didn’t know WTF was going on you could be reasonably sure he had some misapprehension that could be cleared up. That aside, if I’m on your jury and you go into survival mode in a hot car you’re gonna burn. Occupants of known hot cars have probably been getting guns pulled on them since time immemorial.
On the side of justice, the officer was black and a woman. But, that should be irrelevant. When you commit murder in the course of attempted escape from another crime, you are a murderer. In this case, there could be an argument over first or second degree. Whichever, max penalty, try as adult, with aggravating circumstance of depraved indifference.
Every criminal is in survivor mode - so is everyone they are violating. Whose survivor mode games precedence? These cretins are trying to say their criminal clients survivor mode games precedence. Sick bastards!

The attorneys are horrible they did the same thing to an officer that was killed in Sacramento some years back. They put him on trial even though he was dead unbelievable.

A man in Pittsburgh has a police dog attack him, while being actively bitten by the dog he shoots and kills the dog... a reaction any human being would do when being attacked by an animal... yet the city and DA go insane and the guy got additional charges because he reacted as any person being attacked by an animal would...
I have zero belief in these attorneys and their claims... escape mode from arrest is not “survival” mode for a human being.

If my memory is faulty, which is not entirely unheard of, it will be my bad. I will double check.
Oops, my bad, after checking. Officer Amy Caprio was white. I’m not sure whose picture I confused hers with. Doesn’t change the crime, or my opinion that it is murder.
Felony Murder Rule. If, in the commission of a felony (like their burglary), anyone is killed in any way, EVERY member of the felonious “incident” is on the hook for murder. Fry them all. I doubt any of them will be finding the cure for cancer anytime soon.
