Your emergency power/cooling/wireless setup sounds delicious! When the electricity is out for days/weeks, it reminds us how nearly uninhabitable the hurricane prone areas were before air conditioning.

Don’t say it goes on for weeks!

I’ll run out of gas in 5 days, given how much I keep on hand (I also use Sta-Bil, the gas additive. But that generator uses a lot of gas over time. I always keep about 25-30 gallons on hand.

I could drain the truck and car, too, if I had to. I live on a hill so no flooding to worry about. Got a “agricultural use” water well I could hook up to generator power, too, as long as I boil it (have 250 gallon propane tank and gas range) for human consumption. If the end of the world hit, I still run out of gas—my weakness.

Maybe I should grow sugar cane and make ethanol! I don’t think I could live in the summer without a/c.
