This no doubt bored many of the Iraqis, who were there for the hangings.
Some people LOVE listening to their victims beg before they do what they were going to do anyway. It's an extra thrill for them. There is no Justice in this, only vengeful lashing out at the weakest and stupidest members of the enemy camp.
Sadly, it's probably necessary, but this is why War is Hell, and why the Asymmetrical Warfare of the Jihadis (eagerly enabled by our Lefties) is so monstrous.
