I've said it before. This is a culture that worships celebrity. The worst fate that can befall anyone is anonymity, to be one of the faceless mass. Absent any moral dimension, what is the difference between fame and infamy?
The next shooter will be someone who yearns to be noticed, to "make his mark," to "be somebody" ... and doesn't care how he does it.
