“Evidence” is almost irrelevant. Impeachment is insane without knowing there are enough senators to convict. A House vote to censure is easier and has the same consequences if the Senate isn’t known to be going along.
Well if the evidence were of such a standard and quality that it was convincing to the public, then that in turn could influence the Senate. We’re certainly not there right now.
