His pitch was that the FBI would have been remiss in its duty if it hadn't investigated credible information of foreign influence in the Trump campaign. "Credible information" that they in fact planted themselves by creating an echo chamber for Papadopoulis through Mifsud, Halper, Downer, and Halper's honey-pot assistant Azra Turk.
Of course the FBI has an obligation to investigate Russian interference. It goes like this:
