Oh my no, nothing in this affair will be healthier for the country than to slough off the cast of corrupt characters who populated the highest positions of trust in it. That sorry bunch began by assuming for themselves the function of an extra-Constitutional check and balance against executive power, that immediately became a crude grab for power with no check or balance opposite it. This is nothing more than criminals flouting the law who are outraged when finally it gets enforced.
Good God. I mean, I know I EXPECT people like him and Brennan to say that. People who get involved in illegal and immoral activity like that obviously think there is nothing wrong with it.

Just heard on FOX that the Republican members of the Congression Intelligence committee can not contact Trump, that they think he is ill-informed and will appoint Rosenstein, even though RR was part of the spying.
I think that James Clapper is against President Trump's call for the Justice Department to find out if the FBI spied on his campaign, for a reason. James Clapper had a role in the spying.
Maybe he is worried about ending up in an orange jump suit.

The DOJ including the FBI work for the President. They are not free agents immune from directives from the WH or Congressional oversight. Clapper has no understanding of the Constitution, a frightening thought given his former position.

I turned CNN on for a few minutes at lunch to get some variety. Schiff was there, spinning away like a top about the latest FBI revelations. His pitch was that the FBI would have been remiss in its duty if it hadn't investigated credible information of foreign influence in the Trump campaign. "Credible information" that they in fact planted themselves by creating an echo chamber for Papadopoulis through Mifsud, Halper, Downer, and Halper's honey-pot assistant Azra Turk.

If you’ve nothing to hide guys then what is the problem? I’d have though that the response should be, “I look forward to having any doubt about my character to be brought to light”. To attack is soooooooo transparent, it almost BEGS for an investigation.
